05.28.2021 Movies with Lolo Feliciano

Today while watching Rambo with mom after lunch in the living room, she shared a memory of her and Lolo Ciano.   Her memory:

Growing up her and her dad would go to the movies together. Before the movies they would eat Pancit.  It was only her and her dad because her mom wasn't into watching movies.  She said Concepcion Malabon was very small but they had 3 movie theaters. Each time the theater would be packed. People would line up for hours to get in line. Many times people were watching the movie standing up.  She went on to say that people wouldn't leave their seats to use the restroom for fear of losing it.  Because of this, many people would urinate along the wall.  Those that were caught would be banned.  Their picture would be plastered on a bulletin board so everyone knew they urinated in the theater.

Auntie Auring and Uncle Berto

Mom and I were talking during lunch and the conversation turned to Auntie Auring and how she's 9 years older than mom.  She went on and said  that her nephew and nieces couldn't eat any food until after their parents ate.  Often times her nephews and nieces would eat at their house before going home.  She also recalled an instance where uncle berto was upset and yelling at auntie Auring for allowing mom to yell at her. He said puta ang ina mo to aunt Auring.  Uncle Berto didn't realize that mom heard him say that.  Mom went on to say that her dad raised her to speak up when something is wrong no matter what so she felt the need to speak up to her older sister.
